Airtel's new Rs. 49 data pack competes with Jio's Rs. 52 pack

Airtel has launched a new one-day data pack where it is offering up to 1GB 3G/ 4G data at Rs. 49. The new data pack will be directly competing with Reliance Jio's Rs. 52 pack which offers same benefits. The new Rs. 49 prepaid pack is now available via My Airtel app as well as the company's website.
The new 1 GB data pack for Rs. 49 is in addition to another one that offers the same data quota but is priced at Rs. 51. The second one-day data pack is available in select circles. Airtel prepaid users in metros including New Delhi can now avail the new Rs. 49 pack.
The leading telecom player also has Rs. 99 data pack in which it offers 2GB 3G/ 4G data with a validity of five days. For those users looking for monthly pack can pick the Rs. 98 pack that offers 1GB 2G/3G/4G data depending on the circles.
The new Rs. 49 Airtel pack can be expected to push the data tariff war further and we can expect Vodafone, Idea, and Aircel to come with similar one-day data pack.
Airtel is also offering a data boost pack of Rs. 29 where users get 150MB 2G/3G/4G data for 28 days. At Rs. 48, Airtel prepaid subscribers get 400MB 2G/3G/4G data.
