NEW DELHI: Country's top telecom operator Airtelhas launched another affordable plan offering 1GB data. Airtel's all-new Rs 49 under plan has a one-day validity and offers 1GB of 3G or 4G data.

Other than the Rs 49 plan, Airtel has also announced Rs 98 and Rs 146 plans. Under these, it is giving 1GB data with validity of 28 days. However, if you want more data then you can also go for the Rs 98 plan under which the telco is offering 2GB data for a period of 5 days.

In order to avail any of these plan, customers need to log on to Airtel India's website and then click on prepaid recharge. Once done, they just have to add the mobile number and browse the plans. Then they need to to select the plan that they want to go ahead with.

The Rs 49 plan from Airtel competes with the Rs 52 plan of Reliance Jio. Under the Rs 52 plan, the telecom service provider offers 1.05GB of data with unlimited local and STD calling and 70 SMSes for a period of 7 days.

Recently, Airtel revamped its Rs 349 and Rs 549 plans. The customers will now get more data in both the plans. Earlier, the telco offered 1.5GB data daily under the Rs 349 plan and now it is offering 2GB data daily. Similarly, under the 549 plan, the telecom operator was offering 3GB data per day and has not increased it to 3.5GB data per day. Both the packs come with a validity of 28 days.

The two plans are better than Reliance Jio's respective as the telco offers only 1GB data per day in both Rs 399 and Rs 499 plans.
