1. Apple Admits to Slowing Down Older iPhones And That’s Not Cool!
Research by Primate Labs, the makers of benchmarking tool GeekBench, has raised questions about Apple’s move to slow down the performance of older iPhones, which costs buyers as much as Rs 70,000?
Basically, Apple keeps a check on the battery health of old iPhones, and reduces its performance levels to let the devices last long. However, this manoeuvre disappoints the users, who expect their iPhones to last them for at least three years in top shape.

2. PressCoin: FAQs on How Journalists and Readers Can Make Money

3. Reliance Jio Upgrades Its Plans, Gives You 2GB Per Day at Rs 299
With just a few days to go before 2018 kicks in, Reliance Jio has announced two new 4G data plans that offer 1/2GB data per day for as low as Rs 299. The plans are only available to existing Jio Prime subscribers, who paid Rs 99 on top of their regular 4G plan earlier in 2018.
However, the plans come with 28 days validity only, probably giving us the first sign that Jio in 2018 will be a lot different from what the telecom operator had dished out in 2017.
The new plan is called Happy New Year 2018 and comes in two different prices. You can still avail offers with longer validity period (up to 91 days), with plans costing as much as Rs 499 giving you all the goodies, with high data usage for daily basis.

4. Ola Beats Uber to Launch Its Lite App for Entry-Level Smartphones
The growing advent of Lite version of Android apps has caught up with Ola, which has announced its own Lite app that caters to consumers in low-connectivity areas, or those who own an entry-level phone. To its credit, Ola manages to beat Uber to the Lite rollout, which helps them connect with the wider consumer base in the country.
The Ola Lite could also be a signal that the India-based cab aggregator is ready to make itself available for users on Android Oreo Go, the toned-down version of Android, which will be releasing on new phones in the coming months.
Unlike the regular Ola, this one, sized at around 1 MB, is easy to download, and can be used on devices that may not pack as much as a quad-core processor or 2 gigs of RAM.

5. Entry-Level ASUS Gaming Laptops Launched, Priced at Rs 92,000
The PC gaming industry in India has grown rapidly over the last few years, in turn increasing the demand for serious gaming laptops.
Only a few months ago, ASUS had launched their premium ROG (Republic of Gamers) series of laptops in the sub-Rs 2.5 lakh category, and now they are back with a bit extra for beginners.
The latest offering from ASUS caters to the PC gaming enthusiasts who are looking to embark into serious gaming. The new ROG entry-level laptops comprise of the ROG Strix GL503 Scar and the ROG GL503 Hero edition, and starts from Rs 92,000.
All of the new ASUS portfolio will be available from 20 December, both online and offline.
